How do I pick a real estate professional to work with?

This is a very common question but the answer is rather obvious. I won't be making a list because all lists should start with one valid point. Let's address what a Realtor is.  Not all agents and or brokers are Realtors. A Realtor doesn't make an agent better. Any agent or broker can be a Realtor if they pay member fees.  Is it a complete waste. Some would say yes, while others believe in the organization.  I won't comment on this right now.  Let's get back to the point of this article.  How to find the best agent to help you buy or sell real estate.  First off, you have two choices, you can hire an agent or a broker. If you have the choice go with a Broker. Generally speaking, they have successful passed state test to become a broker. More testing mean more text book experienced. Brokers have seen more and its very rare for an agent to know more than a licensed real estate broker. if you look at the statistics their are way more agents than brokers. Most of them are inexperienced.  This is because its a lot harder to become a real estate broker. We list homes using our offer wizard. We run a By Owner MLS listing service. Been in this game a very long time. Have sold landmark properties around the city of Boston. Also, dabble in residential to keep sharp and knowledgeable. My biggest assets are my instincts and ability to negotiate so my clients are put in the best position to succeed.  I was trained by the best and there's not much that I haven't seen.
