Why is Internet Presence Important for Your Real Estate Business?

The Internet has become a vital part of our daily life, both personal and professional. When looking for new homes in today’s real estate business, people tend to turn to the online world. However, things are constantly changing – while a few years ago we were still mind-blown by the fact that we were able to look a home up on the Internet and get an address info that can also be seen on a map, today you don’t even have to sit at home, you can check for offers while on the road!
The Internet presence in real estate, but also in general, refers to websites and social media, so we’ll explore both of these aspects.

Social media revolution

Social media websites have become such a thing of regularity that we tend to forget how much our lives have changed throughout the past decade. In fact, the year 2007 doesn’t sound so distant, but the fact of the matter is that the first popular smartphone OS, Symbian, made its appearance in the mid to late 2000s. What’s more, it was only in 2006 that Facebook was opened to everyone of at least 13 years of age with a valid email address. To put things into perspective, this means that you weren’t able to kill time while commuting on a train or a bus, or to check your news feed every time you got bored (not to mention instant messaging from a mobile phone).
What does this have to with real estate? Well, It’s important to note the impact that it has made on every aspect of our life, including buying and selling property.

Building reputation

Maintaining a strong social media presence is an excellent way to build your company’s reputation while showcasing your business at the same time. You should aim at regular updates on all of the brand and social happenings because your prospects will subconsciously start to view you and your company as an authority.

Company trustworthiness

An interesting thing about the social media is outlined in the fact that it is a place where everyone can hang out. You get an opportunity to comment on everything that, for example, your favorite celebrity posts, and you might even get a response! As a company, if you closely communicate with your clients on social media, you will actually build company awareness and brand credibility.

Using blogs for networking and connecting with social media

Blogs attract audience and your website is a perfect place for one. Use it to demonstrate your knowledge in a positive way and to build trust in your readers. Your blogs are also a perfect place to link social media websites, such as LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter.

Websites are still vital

Even though disregarding all the benefits that the social media websites bring to the table would be unwise, this doesn’t mean that having a website of your own is optional. If you’re not on Google, you basically don’t exist; people won’t take you seriously. You’d be like a company working on the second floor of an apartment building with no clear indications that you’re even there.

It’s less expensive than you think

Although you may be used to not having to pay for anything on social media, browsing for quality cheap domains will leave you breathless, both in terms of how easy registering or transferring a domain is and, naturally, in terms of price.

Quickly increase awareness

You can use your internet presence to increase your awareness, authority and leads faster than any other form of marketing out there!

You need to understand why carefully maintaining your internet presence is important, and not just do it because everyone else seems to be doing it. Dedicate yourself to building your real estate company’s online appearance and work on maximizing your development and growth.
