Written by Posted On Wednesday, 28 June 2017 07:30

Despite being convinced for years that the stronger the chemicals are in the cleaning products you use the cleaner it gets, recently it has been proven that these product have more negative effects than positive ones. Many people suffer from different types of allergies or asthma and in those cases the toxic cleaning products are only making the health problems even more severe. So why not make your own cleaning products when it will be better for your health and moreover cheaper for your budget?

In this article I am going to show you a few alternative recipes for cleaning products which you can easily make at your home.

A Great Floor Cleaner

This recipe is very easy to make and it will surely not disappoint you with its cleaning qualities.

The ingredients that you will need are:

  • 2 cups of warm water

  • ½ cup of white vinegar

  • ¼ of rubbing alcohol

  • 3 drops of a liquid dish soap which does not include any moisturizing and antibacterial ingredients or oxygen bleach

  • essential oil (optional)

If you mix all those ingredients you will get a cleaning product which works great for all types of floors.

Cleaning the Stove

Can you think of an easier way of cleaning the stove than with water? That is correct, you have read it right, you can check also flatcleanlondon.co.uk for more advices. We all know that it is best to wipe off the stains on the stove right when they appear but how many people actually do that? If you are the type of person who tends to postpone the cleaning of the stove after there are a few layers of stains on it, then you might want to try this trick. Next time you are battling with nasty stains just boil some water and cover the stove with it. Let it sit for awhile and then use a steel wool to scrub the stains away. After that just apply a little soap and rinse it with clean water and your stove should be good to go.

Burnt Pot or Scorched Pan

If you agree with me that those type of dishes are the hardest and the most annoying to clean, raise your hand. I bet most of you did. But there is a pretty simple hack to get rid of those awful stains. Grab your burnt pot or pan and pour some water in it. Boil the water and put 1 cup of vinegar in it. Remove the pot from the heat and put 2 tablespoons of Baking Soda in the water and there must be some serious fizzing going on. After that empty the pan or pot and scour with a scourer as you would usually do.

Greasy Stains on Your Clothes

Here we have another rather hard to remove type of stains . Instead of risking to ruin your favorite piece of clothing by using various types of detergents next time just rub some white chalk on the greasy stain. The chalk absorbs the grease and the stain is easily washed in the washing machine.

Clean Your Carpet

To give your old carpet a fresher look you can use the next Green Method to do it. All you need is salt, Borax and white vinegar. Mix ¼ salt, ¼ Borax and ¼ white vinegar. Apply the paste on the places of your carpet with deep stains and let the mixture stay for a while until it dries out completely and just vacuum it away.

By using those homemade green cleaning products you can be sure that there won’t be any negative sides for your health and you will effectively get rid of otherwise very hard to clean stains.
