The world population growth rate has been outweighing the economic growth rate at an alarming rate in recent times. Due to this scenario, even the standards of living have gone down globally. The effect has trickled down up to office levels. A majority of the offices nowadays cannot accommodate the required free open space per worker of 150 square meters.

Despite these facts, current offices are more charming compared to the preceding ones. Designers have become more creative than ever before.  They can design a small room until it gets a feeling of a big office room full of beauty.

Outlined below are the decorating tips for a small room

1.    Have some potted plants to add life and aesthetic to the office

Plants add a natural beauty to a room. The darkness or brightness of the green color in the plant depends on the plant you select and the taste of your color. You can choose from these plants and many others: spider plants, peace lily, and ivy. However, if you cannot get a good natural plant, you can also choose from a variety of artificial plants and flowers which you can easily buy from your nearest store or supermarket. Also, select an appealing color for the pot though striped or dotted fits well in a majority of the offices.

2.    Put up some paintings and beautiful posters on the walls

Rather than leaving the wall with a single color, you can add some contrast on it by hanging wall arts and posters with cute images or unique messages. After deciding on the painting or the poster to hang on the wall, you can use striped washi tape to frame them to add uniqueness.

3.    Have furniture with elegant finishing

The best thing to use is wood veneers. They come in different colors and varieties so that a customer can have a variety of choices to select from in the stores. You can have red book shelves and blue small corner office desk. Mix the colors in the room well to portray creativity. The chair should fit well with the desk without causing imbalance.

4.    Put up an aquarium or a small fish tank

One of the eyes catching features you can add to your office is setting up a small fish tank and put some 4 or 5 fish. These are best for a small room since there are even small ones measuring less than 50 inches. The aquarium is made to be self-cleaning through an automatic process. Feeding is also minimal since these fishes are small in sizes. They come in different colors, and they are a real display of beauty when well placed in a bright corner or near the entrance to a room.

5.    Have different floor colorings

The floors are parts from the entrance, the reception area, and the entire room. Having a nice mat at the entrance helps to mop out the outside dirt and also put a sense of transition in mind. A fluffy carpet near the reception desk adds beauty as well as warmth accommodation to the visitors. The entire room carpet can have a different color from the door or near reception mats. Having each mat with a different color which contrasts to each other ensures there is uniqueness on your floor.

Conclusion

Designing and decoration are two things which depend mostly on the creativity of the designer. Thus, the best solution while on a mission to decorate your small office is outsourcing the task to a professional designer, and you will get the value of your money. However, if you cannot afford the cost; most of the above-outlined options are a do it yourself strategies which can be done by anyone.
