If you have a lot of strange empty spaces in your garage and need to make room for additional storage, then corner shelves are the answer. Look below to learn about the various corner shelf styles that are available.

A lot of people haven’t heard of corner shelves before. They tend to look for bookshelves, floating shelves, or open shelves because those are the most commonly used shelves. However, corner shelves are a great way to store extra items in the empty corners of your garage that are not being used at the moment. These corners may not be big but they are big enough to hold a few extra books or pieces of jewelry. Furthermore, they make a great decoration for other areas of your home too.

Colors and Designs

Installing corner shelves can be more than just for storage purposes. You can also use them to decorate your garage in a visually pleasing way. Instead of white-colored corner shelves, try painting them a different color. You could also put wallpaper in the back of them with an attractive color or design as well. On the other hand, if you want a total white look in your room, you could paint the corner shelves white to match your white furniture and white walls. Just get creative here and go with whatever works for you.

Corner shelves are the most practical way to store extra items around your garage because they will take advantage of any unusual spaces that exist and then make them serve a greater purpose. There are all kinds of awesome-looking corner shelf designs that you probably haven’t seen before.

Built-in Corner Shelves

Built-in corner shelves have a genuine look to them. If you were to paint these a different color than your walls, let’s say a blue color, then it will make the shelves stand out more. A lot of these types of corner shelves have small cabinets on the bottom too. This will allow you to hold even more items in the corner that you don’t want to display, but would rather store.

Decorating your shelves is the most exciting part. You could put plants, books, and other small items on the shelves to enhance the aesthetics of the room immensely.

Floating Corner Shelves

Corner shelves don’t always have to be vertical. You could also have horizontal corner shelves that appear like they’re floating around your corners. These corner shelves are great when designed with cubbies because you can separate your plants or items in a more organized way. For example, let’s say you have a family of four people and you have four cubbies in your corner shelf. Each cubby could be used for storing one person’s personal items such as school books, wallet, clothes, etc. Either that or you could put a different plant in each cubby to create a more interesting look to it. Whatever will make that awkward corner space look better, then go with it.

Tree Corner Shelf

There are lots of unique looking corner shelves, but few people have ever seen a tree corner shelf before. Tree corner shelves basically consist of a narrow tree trunk that starts on the floor and goes straight up to the ceiling. In between, you will have wooden shelves built into the tree that holds your personal items. This doesn’t appear to be something that you can just purchase in a store and then install it with instructions to guide you. This is a major do-it-yourself project that will require an advanced carpentry and craftsman skills. Also, make sure to hire a professional to install strong

White Floating Corner Shelves

If you just want simple floating corner shelves without cubbies, the white horizontal floating shelves are great for almost any room. You could store practically anything on these shelves such as stuffed animals, collectibles, plants, and anything else you want to display in the room. Some people like to put these shelves in their kitchen corners because they are so open and can hold items that people will want to access frequently. You could put spice racks, mittens, fruit bowls, and anything else that will add convenience and beauty to your kitchen. If there’s one thing that people generally want more of in their kitchen, it is kitchen space. These shelves will give you that extra space which you desire.

Door Corner Shelves

If you really want to get creative with your corner shelves, try integrating an old door around it. Some people who have old vintage doors lying around will use that and make a vintage corner shelf out of them. This is more for aesthetic purposes as it only adds a cool-looking border around the regular corner shelves. But if you design it the right way, it will all look like they’re together.
