Different experts have different experiences. I almost read more than 4-5 articles just to understand the common mistakes and common flaws we ignore and then it becomes a cause of our loss. Well it’s not that hard to recognize this. “A photographer has the eyes of the eagles” my mom says, they see the things we don’t see and they capture it so perfectly and smoothly which can lead a normal person to practice a several years. But hopefully now articles, blogs are here to guide you what you shall avoid and what you shall focus on. But when it comes to Architecture Photography you shall follow some of the basic rules or you can say the orders of seniors which shall be followed devotedly.

Using a Tripod- If you want to add some HDR techniques then tripod will help you to settle everything in place and capture the scenes without mobility. Keeping everything straight and unmovable is important or else you will get some unnecessary shots that you have to capture again just because it moved a bit.

Utilizing more than one flash- If you are settling for large areas like kitchen and dining room together you will need more than one flash, often 3-4 flashes to cover the all. It depends on the area actually. Smaller rooms need 1 or 2 flashes, but it is always better to keep the backup with you.

Keeping the Light Stands- Light stand will keep the flashes on spot, and it won’t even fall. But if you don’t use it then it will keep falling and you may even break one. Always keep 2-3 light stands at least for a backup.

Capturing with Wide Angle Lens- Always keep a versatile wide angle lens, this will always focus on the spot and tack sharp. Avoid fish eye lenses. You can use Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II USM if you are on full frame, or you may use  Canon EF-S 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 to crop sensor body. To click Real EstateProperties it is important to have the all in one frame.

On a legal Contract- If you are an architecture photographer then you know what I mean here. Beginners or some naïve photographers can get into some mess, like going on to shoot you may find the spot is unclean and unsettled which you may have to clean and set to shoot. This is common to the new architecture photographers. And to avoid this always get into contract, but remember to read it well. Don’t sign if you find anything suspicious, contact a lawyer immediately.

Having Insurance- During shoot you may have to displace any object or any furniture while you are doing this you may broke something. Having a liability insurance will help to come out of this mess. Always keep it before entering in to a project.

Being Flexible- Often this happens that when you arrive and the clouds starts moving in. Exterior shoot may get a bit moody because of the weather. Always try to come back if the weather changes after you leave. Learning about High Dynamic Range (HDR) will help you in many ways, this will make click a standard photo. Click three different exposures and combine them to one even exposure and detail the highlights and shadows of the landscape or the architectural images.

Knowing the edits- It is necessary to know what you images are lacking. Once you get to know the lacking you are then it will be easy to alter it. Photoshop photo editor has all the basics and advanced features to give the perfection. You can use clipping path services to detach the background or other particles that you need to remove from the frame. Sometimes you may not get the permission to move the objects and the object is visible in the frame, you may avoid this by clipping path services. The pen tool will delete the layers of the particle giving you a perfect image without the unwanted particles. But remember clipping path will give you hard edges and if you try the clipping around the fur and hair then it will harm the fine lines of them and you won’t be able to correct the smoothness with other options. After this you may also use Background Removal Services if you want to give it a new imaginary look that it needs.

Not an expert on Photoshop? Then it will better to outsource you images. Outsourcing is the best option when you have no skills on Photoshop or you are too busy in shoots to edit your images. Outsourcing images can be reliable and easy, some companies and freelancers will provide you the finest image quality and work that you will be amused of. They are expert on this and they know how to utilize their hands and where. They do retouching manually and the imagesare really high in standard. If you want you may outsource but if you are unsure of it then you may for a free trial and see how they really work. Most of the companies have the discount and package offers that will help you invest less. Compare the pricing and quality before making a decision. There are many companies who will offer you the cheap rates, find one loyal, reliable to outsource anytime.

Knowing the Deadlines- Always communicate with the agent who set you up for the work. Make sure you have everything you were supposed to. Let the agent know about the images while processing, if you need extra time then also share him that, try to convince to have extra time for revision. Always make a list before capturing and after edits check the list and make sure you have all the mark ups. Complete your images before deadline. Revise and if needed corrected within the time and deliver to the agent. If you want then with permission click one extra image for your internal or external use.
