Expert Tips To Quickly Increase The Value Of Your Home

We are all concerned about increasing the value of our home, especially when we are getting ready to sell it. So, before you put your home up on the market, you should consider doing some home improvment projects that will allow you to add anywhere between $1,000 - $20,000 more onto the price of your home!

1. Garage Door Replacement

Offering a return of up to 98% of it's value, replacing your garage door will immediately improve the first impression of potential buyers viewing your home. Pick your self out a nice carriage style garage door, and have a professional contractor install it.

2. Vinyl Siding Replacement

Often times, vinyl siding will fall off from your home, or will be so old that it no longer does the job of protecting your home. Replace your siding with a high quality James Hardie Fiber cement siding, and you can add the full replacement cost of the siding on to the resell value of your home!

3. Front Door Replacement

Older homes tend to have older doors that have been worn down by the elements, nature and even people. Replacing your entry door with a 20-guage steel door is simple, will make the front of your home look better, and add additional security for the next owner of your home. Look for a door that is half glass, and you will allow additional sunlight to brighten your entryway!

4. Deck Addition

Having a BBQ in the backyard on your deck during the summer is an amazingly relaxing time, that is if you own a deck to have a BBQ on! Suprisingly, a new deck can cost you as little as $4,000 depending on the size, material and style that you wish to build. When done well, it's just another feature that will help you sell your home, and help it stand out from a potentially crowded real estate market. Make sure to hire a professional deck builder, as it will be very important that to check for gaslines and have all the necessary permits pulled before you build. Forgetting one of these steps can lead to thousands of dollars of damages if not done correctly.

 5.. Repave Your Driveway

Repaving your driveway helps maintain it's overall aesthetics, further helping with first impressions. The cracks formed by use and the exposure from the sun are clearly visible to any potential buyers as they approach your home. It will also help extend the overall life of the driveway, and when done properly will increase it's lifespan up to 30 years - a great selling feature!

Remember, whenever you are doing a home improvemnt project, and you do not have experience make sure to hire the best contractor you can, or your renovation projects will not add any value to your home, and will delay you being able to sell your home.
