You must know these 3 things regardless if you are selling a house with an agent, FSBO, or to a cash buyer.

There are so many things to do when you are selling your house. Fix this, clean that, remove all those things. However, before you embark on any of this you absolutely must stop and do this first step.

When selling a house you must absolutely have a plan

It may sound too simple. It may sound easy. It may seem unnecessary. However, it is not. Having a plan created by you is a must for the following reasons:

  1. Only you are 100% vested in selling your property
  2. You know what it is you need from the sale
  3. At the end of the day, it is your money

As the home-owner, you will work harder than anyone else to get your house sold. So it's up to you to know the plan.

When creating a plan you should talk to professionals to get their advice. You do not have to make the plan on your own. If you are selling with an agent have them help you.

  2. When do you want to sell it buy

You must have a clear understanding of why you are selling your house. Selling is a hard thing to do,. It takes a lot of time, energy and can cause a lot of stress. You must have a very good reason why you are selling otherwise consider staying put.

2. When do you want to sell your house?

This can be selling in the summer or you want it sold in a hurry. Depending on the season and the city houses will sell differently. It also depends on the type of home you are selling, and the buyer you are targeting.
