Are you a busy real estate agent that has very little time to spare? We are sure you are. You are a hard worker and a go-getter, so how can a person like you find time for anything in your life? We are sure that you are aware that you need to find time and start planning your financial future, but no worries, there are ways that can help you find that extra time. We have prepared some useful tips in this article, so read on to find out how to find time to organize your finances.

Discover the Value of Getting Up Early

If your every day starts with you getting up, going to work, showing houses and condos around, then coming home feeling exhausted and spending the rest of your day with family and friends, there is not too much time left in your day to sit down and work on your finances. If that is the case, then you might start waking up earlier and increase the opportunity to put some financial plans into motion.

You can wake up around 5AM, and give yourself some extra time to get some work done, get quotes, and be closer to your goals before the whole world wakes up. If you want to apply this tip, you will need to go to bed early, because sleep is important and you shouldn’t neglect it. You may lose some late hours, but you are probably already losing them doing something not that productive, like watching television.

Learn To Say No

There can be a positive impact in learning to use this negative word. Imagine what it would be like if you never said the word no? You would have agreed with everything that has been thrown your way, and the number of your responsibilities would have risen a lot. Maybe you have already said no too many times, but did you say it enough?

You have various responsibilities in your life: your family, friends, finances, health, work and the list seems to never end. If you start feeling like one area is out of balance, you are going to dedicate less time to another area, in this example, finances. This does not mean that you should neglect one area of your responsibilities; you can simply trim some of your responsibilities so that you can catch up on the other ones.

So, if you say no to things that matter less than others, you will sharpen your focus on what really matters.

Revise Your Calendar

If you discover that there are some tasks that are not really essential on your calendar or task list, or perhaps tasks that were at one point relevant, but they aren’t anymore, you should get rid of them, because you no longer need them. Make sure to schedule the tasks you don’t have to do today for another day or add them on a list that you will work on next. This tip is one of the best ways to find some extra time to work on your financial future, whether you are planning for retirement, building a budget or just trying to pay off your debt.

Guard Your Time

You need to guard your time, because this is a huge part of finding time to work on your financial future. You need to consider the possibility that you are not utilizing your free time as efficiently as possible. For example, you have scheduled one hour every week to revise your bank account to find areas you can improve in your budget,  but during that particular hour, you get a call from a possible client, or a work email or the couple to which you have showed one house wants to see it again. Perhaps you only spend half an hour on doing what you really planned to do and the rest of that time on everything else. That’s half of your time spent on distractions.

We only have 24 hours in one day, no more, no less, so spending your time wisely will benefit you in every area of your life, not only your finances. If you have a feeling that you are neglecting your financial future, or any other area in your life, implement our advice and we are sure that you will start feeling better and manage to do everything you have set out to do.
