When you plan to move in in a new house, then you definitely need a perfect organization. The key is to not leave everything for the last minute, but that`s not enough too. The best way to organize and supervise everything in a better way is to make yourself a removal checklist. Or else, make more checklist for just about everything. Check out the following examples and a few basic ideas on what to put in these checklists.

The moving checklist is high on the agenda, because it plays the most important role for the entire relocation - the organization of your belongings. You can organize this checklist by numerous ways if you plan to make your own checklist, or you can find ready to use templates that can facilitate a lot this exercise. First, decide how to organize the checklist so it could be easier for visual orientation. You can make columns for every room and for the items in the different rooms, or you can include them in rows. A few separate checklists for every different room is another great idea. In all cases, include the name of the items and to which room it belongs. Another important highlight to include is the name of the removal box, in which the item is stored during the relocation. In this way you can discover the numerous options about how to organize the boxes, which labels to use, how many boxes are needed, which types, etc.

The next great advice is a simple To-Do list, which can really help organize the organization itself. Make it as simple as possible or a long and comprehensive list with all the major and small details. Add deadlines and goals on a best-time basis, which will help keep everything in order with the organization of the move. A great tip is to start the To-Do list with tasks and activities that should take place two months before the moving day. Then, continue with notes and tasks to complete a month before the move, two weeks and one week before the move, as well as the day prior to the move. Try to leave as less things as possible for the moving day, because the last moment moving atmosphere may be quite overwhelming.

The third list that can facilitate the move is a small sketching or a comprehensive floor plan. You can always give that list to the movers so they will know easily what they should handle with. Highlight the dimensions of the doors and their exact locations, highlight the location of the removal bags and boxes, and try to put them at the most appropriate place so to avoid extra distance. Highlight the stairs, the windows, the room sizes or everything that can help orientate the movers at the moving day. One it will save time and efforts, and two, the movers will know where to unload the big heavy boxes and items.

Last but not least, prepare an inventory sheet for your belongings. It`s usually done by the removal agent and it features all the removal objects in a specific order, followed by photographic materials or descriptions of their condition before the move. This is the best way for the company to guarantee the safety of your move, especially when you hire a packing team to deal with the big and heavy furnishings. Remember that if you do the sorting and the packing of everything by yourself, the company is not liable for the safety of your possessions. Discuss with your removal agency in advance all the details about the making of an inventory sheet.
