Written by Realty Times Staff Posted On Monday, 10 February 2014 11:30

Julie Dolan, a Concord Carlisle Native with years of Real Estate experience, is ready to help you with all of your realty needs.

She has lived all over Massachusetts and the Cape, and has a vast amount of knowledge of the area. You will never have as much fun buying or selling your home than you would with Julie! Having a REALTOR who is passionate about what she does makes for a memorable experience for everyone involved.

Question 1: What market do you serve?

Answer: Concord, MA and the surrounding area.

Question 2: How long have you been in real estate?

Answer: I’ve been in real estate for 7 years! I started in Westfield, NJ in 2007 at the #1 Coldwell Banker Office in the country where I was named Rookie of the Year. In 2011, my family and I moved to Concord, MA where my husband and I grew up. In 2012, I got my Massachusetts Real Estate License.

Question 3: What is it that you love about this industry?

Answer: Simply put... I love houses and I love working with people! My first introduction to real estate was buying, redesigning and selling my own homes... profitably :) Once our boys were old enough I refocused much of my volunteering efforts to starting my own business in real estate.

Through my real estate dealings, I was fortunate to know the manager of Coldwell Banker in our town. And although as the #1 Coldwell Banker office in the country, he was very selective and made a practice of not hiring new agents but he hired me! I was also very fortunate that after proving myself in this industry - one of the top agents approached me to work with her.

Question 4: What obstacles have you faced in this industry- and how did you overcome them?

Answer: Being a Buyer and a Seller so many times often gave me a huge advantage when I began my career in this industry. I honestly don't remember feeling like there was anything standing in my way!

Question 5: Real Estate has taken a roller coaster ride over the past decade; tell me, where are we headed in 2014?

Answer: We are all expecting the spring market to start early and be robust. I was so busy over the holidays I am not sure the fall market ever ended.

Question 6: What piece of advice would you offer someone just getting their start in this industry?

Answer: It’s really tough to start out in this industry! So I would suggest finding a mentor, if possible. From there, whether or not you form a formal or a loose business arrangement can really help you make your way in real estate.
