There are going to be times when you want to print out your own articles using the Real Estate Update format. This is why we've created a page called the "Blank Template." You can print this out and use it as a letterhead for your own documents. Here's how:
STEP 1: (You only have to do this step once)
Creating a word processing document that will fit on the "Blank Template."
- Open the Word Processing Program of your choice (ex. Word).
- Choose "File" from the menu.
- Choose "Page Setup" or "Document Setup" from the "File" menu.
- Change the margins to the following specifications:
- Top: 2.6"
- Bottom: 1.4"
- Left: 1"
- Right: 1"
- Save these settings.
- Save this document as something you will remember so you can use it again in the future. (ex. NewsletterTemplate)
- Close this new document.
You have now created a document you can use every time you're wanting to print your own articles with the Real Estate Update look.
STEP 2: Printing a word processing document on the blank template
- Print out as many copies of the blank template as you're going to need.

- Open the word processing document you created in Step 1.
- Choose "File" from the menu.
- Choose "Save As" from the "File" menu.
- Save this document as something you will remember so you can print this document again in the future.
- Create the document as you desire.
- Choose "File" from the menu.
- Choose "Save" from the "File" menu.
- Load the blank templates that you printed into the paper tray so that the document you created will print on the correct side in the correct direction.
- Print the document you created.
