Coldwell Banker Bain Announces Corporate Name Change of Coldwell Banker Seal Offices and Launches Global Luxury Brand

Coldwell Banker Bain, ranked as a top Coldwell Banker network affiliate, has announced the corporate name change of Coldwell Banker Seal, which operates seven offices in southwest Washington and Oregon. Coldwell Banker Seal will now operate as Coldwell Banker Bain.

Coldwell Banker Bain purchased Oregon-based Coldwell Banker Barbara Sue Seal Properties in 2000. The operating name was changed to Coldwell Banker Seal in 2012. However, concurrent with Coldwell Banker Bain’s launch of its new Global Luxury brand, the company has determined that operating under one cohesive brand brings together the south and north regions and provides an opportunity to share a more compelling story with respect to the shared success of its agents companywide.

Said Bill Riss, Coldwell Banker Bain CEO, “We have always been one cohesive company, but with two separate brand identities. Merging the brands into one recognizable brand name better represents who we have been and where we're going in the future.”

The corporate name change will be announced at a company event scheduled today at the Sheraton Portland Airport Hotel. The event will inform brokers and company staff about the benefits of consolidating the brands, along with details about new marketing, advertising, signage, and sales collateral being rolled out simultaneously in support of the new Global Luxury brand.

Don Gladson, Regional Manager for southwest Washington and Oregon, said, “Our ability to communicate the unparalleled value of the company under one brand across our diverse market areas provides sharper clarity and generates a stronger impact on agents, buyers, sellers, and investors. In the luxury realm, the ability to leverage the new Global Luxury brand and reach will also significantly benefit both home sellers and buyers in our markets.”

Coldwell Banker Bain’s new Global Luxury brand utilizes sleek, modern marketing materials, breathtaking visuals, first-in-class signage and an improved web presence and reach to deliver unparalleled levels of sophistication and success to its clients. Coupled with the power, reach and recognition of the Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC brand – one that extends beyond international borders – luxury home sellers throughout the Northwest will receive global awareness for Coldwell Banker Bain homes.

Said Riss, “According to the National Association of Realtors®, $100 billion in U.S. property sales each year can be attributed to international buyers. Coldwell Banker Bain Global Luxury will connect to 750,000 luxury agents across multiple international brands and syndicate listings globally to real estate portals around the world.”

David Sly, Principal Managing Broker of what is now the Coldwell Banker Bain of Lake Oswego office, with much of its business conducted in the luxury realm, said, “We are excited about the additional exposure and respect our new Global Luxury brand brings us.” He continued, “Our brokers represent exquisite listings - and high net worth clients - who understand how attractive our region and its real estate are to the global luxury buyer. The new brand reinforces that attraction.”

Every day, affiliated Coldwell Banker luxury property specialists handle approximately $130 million in luxury home sales, more than any other real estate brand. In 2016, Coldwell Banker affiliated sales associates represented home buyers and sellers in more than 25,000 plus luxury home sale transactions priced at $1 million or more.

Coldwell Banker Bain brokers handling luxury properties are specially certified to do so as part of an exclusive group in the Coldwell Banker Global Luxury Specialist home sales program. All sales associates carrying the Specialist credential must meet stringent qualification criteria, including a proven track record of luxury home sales.
