It's the week retailers wait for to blow out some merchandise and the week consumers wait for to get some great deals. It's July Fourth Sales week!

It's a win-win for everyone, right? You can tip the scales in your favor by knowing exactly where to go, what to look for and paying attention to some special savings on top of the July Fourth sales (like Macy's special code that gives you an extra 15 percent off of their sale prices).

Also pay attention to the details to get the best deals. A number of retailers are offering tiered savings. Target's July Fourth furniture sale has 15 percent savings if you spend $125 and 20 percent savings for purchases of at least $175. Make sure you are spending the right amount for the savings you want. Pay attention to whether or not tax counts towards totals that are eligible for savings (this is key at Kohl's if you are looking to get as much Kohl's Cash as possible. Only the pre-tax amounts counts toward the Kohl's Cash total).

All mattresses are on sale for July Fourth at Sleep Experts, including this Simmons Pillow Top in queen size for just $399, down from the regular price of $599.

IKEA is offering new kitchen savings, with 10 percent off on a purchase of $3,500 and 20 percent off on a purchase of $4,500 or more.

Macy's has an entire store (and website) full of July Fourth savings, including this seven-piece outdoor dining set for just $499 down from a reduced price of $999 and an original price of $1999. Be sure to enter the promo code "Fourth" for extra savings of 15 or 20 percent when shopping at Macy's this week.

Best Buy has sales on a range of items, from those on the pricier end with new savings that make them more affordable and inexpensive items that are now even more so. In TVs alone you can choose from a Samsung 55-inch Smart TV sale priced at $999, down from $1399, or a Samsung 51-inch plasma TV, now just $399, down from $499.

Sears isn't messing around this July Fourth, with savings of up to 50 percent on patio furniture and grills, and savings of up to 60 percent on mattresses. Be sure to check their site for extra savings through coupons.

While you're fixing up your backyard, don't forget about your best friend. Pottery Barn's sale on outdoor lounge furniture and umbrellas includes savings of up to 50 percent on all kinds of items. One of our faves: the Chatham Dog House. The frame is now just $359, down from a regular price of $599.

Home Depot will be fighting for your home improvement dollars this week, and special offers may entice you to hurry right in. Home Depot's features 30 percent off major appliances in addition to numerous other savings. We'll be shopping for this Brinkman five-burner grill, on sale for $199, down from the regular price of $399.

This may be the perfect time to redo your bedroom if Wayfair has anything to say about it. Their July Fourth deals include savings of up to 60 percent on living room décor, outdoor/patio, and headboards This stylish Fairmont headboard is now just $119 for the queen size, down from $237. The king size is only $22 more.
