Back to school sales start in earnest this weekend, and we've got a roundup of the deals you have to hit the stores for. There are some great sales going on, so if you're the early bird type when it comes to BTS, shoppers, start your engines. And head straight to Walmart, the winner this week by a mile in our latest edition of Steals & Deals.

No matter where else you go this weekend, make sure you hit Walmart. According to Fox News, "Walmart is kicking off the back-to-school shopping period with a variety of specials savings for both online and in-store customers starting August 1st. The company also says its Savings Catcher price-comparison tool - which automatically checks other local stores to see if you could have gotten a better deal elsewhere—will be available nationwide starting this week. If so, they'll refund you the difference in the form of a Walmart gift card."

Here are some of the deals notes by Fox News:

'40-inch Hisense LCD/LED TV for $239

Nextbook 8 tablet for $79

10-inch RCA tablet with keyboard for $99

$399 Dell laptop bundle

Canon 2920 wireless printer for $39"

Still need a reason to drive to Walmart this weekend? Their Savings Catcher savings tool allows you to compare the price you paid for an item to an eligible advertised competitor's prices and receive the different back on a Walmart gift card.

There are some other great deals out there on back to school items outside of Walmart's doors. At OfficeMax, you can buy a one-subject spiral notebook for one cent through Saturday, Aug. 2 if you spend $5.

Head to Staples for one-subject Staples-brand 70-page notebooks for 17 cents each. They also have 10-packs of Bic Cristal pens for $1 and 12 Ticonderoga No. 2 pencils for $2.

And don't miss out on the chance to buy Wexford two-pocket folders for 10 cents each with a Balance Rewards Card at Walgreens (there's a limit of 10).

Happy Shopping! See you next week with more back to School Savings and the best tax-free deals!
