The United States' leading technology firms, including Hewlett-Packard, Mitsubishi, Intuit, and IBM, will provide more than 800 real estate professionals with a sneak preview of the industry's latest high-tech tools at Connect '98, an e-commerce and technology summit to be held in San Francisco March 12-14. These high-tech firms and several others will be part of the event's "Demo Room," sponsored by Fannie Mae, that will provide summit participants to experiment hands-on with the next generation of time- and money-saving technology. On the agenda for the Demo Room: Hewlett-Packard will unveil its color screen hand-held PC; IBM, along with partner NDS Software, will showcase its Homeseekers.com site; Mitsubishi Wireless Communications will introduce its wireless integrated voice/data cellular phone that delivers Internet and corporate intranet access, fax/modem transmission, instant pages, e-mail, and voice; and Intuit will introduce participants to the latest innovations to QuickenMortgage, one of Intuit's leading products.
