Residential Sales Council Honors Executive Vice President

The Residential Sales Council recently honored Executive Vice President Nina Cottrell for 25 years of service. Cottrell, who has been the Council's senior executive for 14 years, oversees an organization serving residential real estate agents regarded as the industry's best-trained and most successful. Agents holding the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) designation conferred by the council account for a high percentage of each year's residential transactions nationwide.

During Cottrell's administration, the Council has grown from approximately 6,000 members in 1979 to almost 43,000 today, with more than 35,000 holding the CRS designation.

"The Residential Sales Council and I have evolved together," Cottrell says. "I will always take pride in the growth of the council during my tenure. The energy and personality of our members make the work exciting and fulfilling."

"Nina has been instrumental in the growth of the council and the trust home buyers and sellers place in the CRS designation," says 1998 RSC President Ed Hatch, CRB, CRS. "Her style, intelligence and grace lend a unique character to the council and how it is perceived within the real estate industry."

Cottrell's career with the Residential Sales Council began in 1973. In 1981, she was promoted to education director for the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) program, and in 1984, she was named executive vice president.
