Build Business With "Six Degrees Of Separation" Farming Concept
by Joeann Fossland

You have the ability, at all times, to create miracles! My definition of a miracle is something that shifts the direction of the universe. You are able to actually create something happening that wasn’t going to happen if you hadn’t taken action. Isn’t that amazing?

You have this power every time you open your mouth and make a request. The Broadway play that was later made into a movie, Six Degrees of Separation, hypothesized that we are only six people away from finding anyone or anything we want or need.

The key to opening these doors is to ask.

With "Six Degrees of Separation," you can link to what you want by not expecting the person you talk to necessarily provide the answer but, they may know someone, who knows someone, who knows someone, who knows someone, who has your answer or solution!

How can you build business this way?

For many people, not knowing what they want is the first area of weakness. They haven’t really determined what would change the direction of the universe for them. Would it be to list 10 houses this month? To sell a million dollar listing? What would really be exciting?

Coaching Tip: Pick something, anything, that gives you a physical feeling of excitement.

  • Make it visible! Make a poster. Get a slogan. Put the goal on stickies everywhere! (your bathroom mirror, your car visor, your computer screen, your cell phone)

  • Who can you ask? This is often an area that we limit ourselves. Many new agents are able to do business right away, because they are telling everyone what they are doing, and they are excited about it. As a human being spends more time at any activity, there is a tendency to think we know how it works and narrow our actions.

Coaching Tip: For the next week, tell everyone you meet what you want.

  • Play this like a scavenger hunt game…..just tell each person, that you know they know someone who knows someone who has your answer. Ask them who it would be.

If you are in a rut, or just want to increase your fun while increasing your business, lighten up this week and play the "Six Degrees of Separation" Game!
