It Pays To Work With A REALTOR(R), Says NAR
by Realty Times Staff

"It Pays to Work with a RealtorŪ" is a new brochure produced by the National Association of Realtors VIP Program that informs consumers why it's important for them to use a RealtorŪ to help them with their homebuying and selling needs.

Designed as a presentation piece for Realtors to provide to current and potential clients, the brochure outlines the differences between a Realtor member of NAR who subscribes to and is bound by the association's strict Code of Ethics and a real estate practitioner.

"As research has consistently shown, consumers are becoming more aware that there is a qualitative difference between a Realtor and other real estate practitioners, in terms of service, market knowledge and real estate expertise," said Ken Burlington, NAR managing director of REALTOR VIP Publications. "The brochure spells out for consumers the kind of services a Realtor can provide to both buyers and sellers, and is an excellent aid that Realtors can distribute to consumers."

The brochure contains statistics from the latest NAR research studies that show the financial and informational benefits that Realtors bring to the real estate transaction. Included is a summary of the Code of Ethics that explains the basic principles important to consumers.

In addition, the presentation piece includes an overview of Realtor designations and refers readers to NAR's online resources where they can learn more about Realtor specialties. It also provides online references that consumers can use to learn more about the real estate industry and the homebuying and selling process.

The full-color, high-quality brochure is designed to be easily mailable in the standard #10 business envelope and includes a die-cut to hold a business card.

The presentation piece is available now to NAR members. Sold in packages of 100 brochures, the publication costs $45 for one package, $40 for two to ten packages, and $35 for 11 or more packages.
