Realty Times is expanding - from the Internet to cable TV! In keeping with its mission to promote Realtors and their listings to the public, Realty Times has signed a multi-year production agreement with explicitmediaTM to produce a weekly, one-hour real estate show including news, advice and video presentations of local homes for sale in cable television markets throughout the United States. "The Realty Times Showcase of Homes" show is already available in major markets throughout California and Nevada, where it has been successfully test-marketed. The show will soon be offered in the Midwestern and Eastern states. Jody Lane, CEO Realty Times says, "Putting our news and advice with our customers' listings on cable TV is a natural extension of our business. We have been the leading provider of real estate news and advice online since 1997. We created Market Conditions ReportsTM to showcase Realtors online. Now we are showcasing Realtors and their listings on cable TV. This is what we do best - make Realtors and their listings look great." He adds, "We searched extensively for the right production company which would have the necessary understanding and flair for the real estate market. The professionals at explicitmediaTM proved their ability by demonstrating a high level of market savvy and production quality." Greg Johnson, CEO of explicitmedia says, "Realty Times has the latest in real estate news and advice from their talented staff of award-winning columnists. We are proud to be part of the 'Realty Times Showcase of Homes' show as it is well suited for today's cable viewer." The format for the one-hour show will include national headlines and homebuying and selling advice aired at two-minute intervals. Each show allows up to 30 or 40 homes to be showcased at about 80 seconds of airtime per home. In addition, the show will promote Realty Times' exclusive online marketing opportunity for Realtors - Market Conditions Reports. Says Lane, "I am so glad we have the opportunity to tell millions of cable television viewers about Market Conditions Reports, and drive them to the Realty Times Website where they can read local market conditions and review the homes they just saw on television. They can contact Realtors directly from our site." All listings will feature a listing video with voice-over and narration for the Showcase "tour" provided by explicitmedia which will be shown on participating cable stations for four consecutive weeks. The videos will also be featured on the Realty Times Website, www.realtytimes.com, for the life of the listing. Agents may also add their showcase link to their own Websites and to their MLSs for additional marketing at no extra cost. "We debuted the concept in Southern California earlier this year, and we sold out," says John Giaimo, vice president of business development for Realty Times. "We have deliberately made the Showcase an affordable way to compete. Agents can place an 80-second video presentation of their listing on local cable television for four consecutive weeks and then show sellers what they can do in their listing presentations. It impresses sellers tremendously when an agent can pull the ad up on their Website and say, 'This is how I will market your home.'" "It gives them a huge advantage over the competition." |
