Steady increases in housing prices and sales with a drop in the average days on market signal a rising sellers' market in Clearfield, Utah, say local Realtors.
"The Morgan County area is a more rural setting with growth just starting to accelerate," he explains. "Home and lot prices should steadily increase for the foreseeable future. Influences are good access to Ogden and Salt Lake via the interstate system. Hill AFB is a short drive from Mountain Green but is on the other side of the Wasatch Front Range resulting in a short commute with no noise from the base. The Weber County market is divided by the Wasatch Front with Greater Ogden on the west side of the front and Ogden Valley on the east side. Ogden Valley's three ski resorts, two lakes, golf courses, and miles of snowmobile and cross country skiing make this the recreation destination for all three counties. Real estate growth is steady and tending toward a recreational community. The second home market is very active and increasing both in number of sales and price of homes."
"Here is what has been going on in the city of Clearfield in the last 30 days: 47 homes have gone on the market, 37 have gone under contract, and 25 have sold," explains Williams. "There are 141 total active on the market now." "Coming in June 2005, Clearfield City will open the new Clearfield Aquatic Center at 825 South State Street," he says. "The Aquatic Center is being built adjacent to the new North Davis Jr. High that is also currently under construction. What's in store? There will be a new six-lane lap pool, spa and leisure pool. The leisure pool will have a sixteen-foot spiral slide and lots of toys that spray, splash and squirt. One of the greatest features will be a family locker room to accommodate families and other individuals that may need assistance with dressing and changing. The Aquatic Center will also have a party room so that citizens can have birthday or family parties. There will also be an area for cardio equipment and exercise facilities. The city is also a partner in the gymnasium that goes with the Jr. High, and it will be used for leagues and open gym time for the public. There is also an indoor walking track inside the gym. A drop-in child care area will also be available for patrons of the center."
