Real estate expert Marie Walton, of Plano, Texas, is reporting a buyers market with dropping prices at this time. This comes on the heels of a reports that sales continued to decline in December. And as sales have slowed -- inventory levels -- with active listing -- are on the rise -- though still not to levels to cause concern. Marie reports to Realty Times that "the decline in sales is mostly in homes priced under $300,000. For the week ending on January 20th, listings saw an average price of $343,000. Homes were selling, however, in an average of 75 days for around $270,000. She says, "If you have been thinking about buying a home, now is a good time to do it. Interest rates have been rising, but are still at very good levels." |
