Realtors Linda & Ken Champlin, Birmingham, Alabama, are reporting that their area is seeing a buyers market with falling prices. They report also that the average list price is $124,000, with a 12 month supply of homes on the market. Compared to recent years, fewer homes are selling -- down 17.3 percent from 2007 to 2008. They note, however, that this is "a wonderfully diverse city; metropolitan Birmingham offers homes to fit almost any lifestyle. The low key atmosphere of the area will leave you time to really enjoy life. Although it is one of the 60 largest metropolitan areas in the country, Birmingham has not grown too large to enjoy." |
