Is It Better To Rent Or Own?
Question: Is it ever better to rent than to own?
Answer: There are at least several cases where renting may be more attractive than ownership. 1. You will be in an area for a short period of time, say three years or less. 2. The local economy is bad and getting worse, employment levels are dropping. 3. Better returns with equal risk are available elsewhere. 4, Your future income will not be enough to support house payments. 5. You are in the midst of marital turmoil.
