Is Modular Construction Common?

Question: Is modular construction common today?

Answer: Most homes built in recent years either have modular elements such as roof trusses or are totally modular. The attraction of modular construction is that it can be done indoors (out of the weather), mass production is possible (which leads to lower unit costs) and units can be standardized in terms of shape and size.
