Is The NAR The "Lion Coming Over The Hill?" |
Once again Realty Times avoids the big Bank of America story with a rambling piece on the NAR that completely misses the point. Don't they have editors?
For six months now NAR has been warning us about the Banks "Big Grab" So now why is the NAR and their partner Realtor.com giving our listings to one of the biggest banks in the United States?
Answer: money!
I can just image the meeting with Bank of America
NAR and Wolf "You want to buy our Listings?"
BOA "We'll pay you millions!"
NAR and Wolf "Ahh you know we can't do that." Nudge Nudge wink wink to BOA
BOA "Here's an idea. Why not go on record against us getting into the brokerage biz. Call it?we know?the Big Grab."
NAR and Wolf "We're listening."
BOA "Wolf you play the bad guy and NAR you play the good guy"
NAR and Wolf ?Still listening!?
BOA ?Wolf, you will sell us the listings and NAR, you get all righteous about it when you find out. By the time the dust settles, we?ll be in business and you?ll be rich.?
NAR an Wolf ?Absolutely not? nudge nudge and wink wink
BOA ?Then it is settled! By the way, to which off-shore account will our off-shore subsidiary be sending the funds??
The only other possible reason for the NAR allowing this to happen is incompetence. Maybe that isn?t all that far fetched either.
