Bad Buyer's Agent Turns Buyer Off

Piece lacks objectivity

I'm surprised at Ms. Evens, who is normally a careful and responsible journalist.
The problem with this piece is its failure to observe a basic journalistic rule: balance and objectivity. Nowhere does the piece contain a word from the agent involved, or the supervising broker. If the agents could not be reached, or refused an interview, the journalistic standard is to say so in the article.
While every word of the buyer's experience could be true, the piece lacks credibility because of its one-sided tone.
Without needed objectivity, this reader was left with the nagging suspicion that, as Paul Harvey used to say, there's a "rest of the story".
