Inside_Truth....or NOT?
Posted By: bobmightknow - 05/03/2001 09:06 AM
Of all the ezines/publications online dealing with real estate, Realty Times is the only one that will "Go out on a limb". Blanche has on several articles exposed and poured a little salt in the wound (ask NAR, realtor.com, websuite, homes.com and even homeseekers). As stated in an earlier post of mine, the facts need to be sought after etc. etc.
So taking risks...let's take the two of us who post on this and maybe other interactive boards. I do not provide my name or anything about myself other then I love to play golf.
You also do not expose yourself...thus who is taking risks and who is not? and Who could take the two of us seriously enough?
Since the two of us do not take the risk of saying who we really are, then I'd say our credibility is basically in the ole toilet.
I read your posts, and agree with you on the facts as I know them dealing with Homestore/NAR kissing cousin relationships. I do not agree with the comments about Realty Times as a group/staff in that they spin things around. You have the option with everything in life as to agree or not..kind of like turn off the TV or change the channel if you do not like what you see.
But keep posting...everything is of value and interest. Bashing and slamming agents personally (as in an earlier post to an article you made) will not go very far as for people seeking the truth either from you or myself....
To end this...the Homeseekers deal is only good PR to get them above $1. Great move, but the deal is a joke...every big agency in the alliance already has excellent sites and IT groups. There is no $50 Million possiblity...it is all show. As for the ebay deal...if I was a seller using an agent I would not want my home showing on ebay. Any mention of an auction smacks a homeowner with "Foreclosure", sell it on the court house steps. The only bidding I would want on my home would be with my agent acting on my behalf and not ebay or homeseekers.
