Problem with this tact is that surveys are more annoying than Realtors®! The real damage I see here is that many practicioners are making a real effort to understand their market and provide an excellent real estate experience. We all have long memories for bad experiences, so the only way to change public opinion is one person at a time. When a well read and respected publication like Forbes makes a statement like they have, it only reinforces mass public opinion and makes the "one person at a time task" less likely to be successful.
