Who's Referring Internet Leads in Your Area?

REALTORS have always used referrals as an additional source of income. Referring in person has been an accepted practice for years, probably decades, and it has been left up to the integrity of the agent to disclose the fact a referral fee is paid.

Perhaps a better solution would be to remember the Internet is another method of doing business and not try to compartmentalize and micro-manage each aspect of it.

In my opinion, Coulter's statements are correct. If ARELLO feels disclosure of referral fees on the Internet is necessary, perhaps they could work with other regulatory agencies to force disclosure of referral fees everywhere. Consistency for disclosure in the industry would have a more positive effect for everyone involved in a transaction.
