Response To: The N.A.R. Responds to WebSuite Series (Realty Times Staff - 12/20/2000)

NAR Response to e-Pro articles lacking ... much!
Posted By: Colorado Realtor - 12/20/2000 09:40 AM

It is indeed unfortunate that the NAR chose not to respond to that information regarding the e-Pro course and the providers of it as previously reported in depth by Realty Times.
Members of the NAR who placed their faith in e-Pro and paid their money to WebSuite based on the promotion and representations regarding both made by NAR deserve far more. This generic, bland disclaimer is insulting to the intelligence of NAR members who are held accountable for their own misrepresentations and errors on a daily basis.
At this point in order to retain the credibility of the organization NAR must immediately offer a refund to any/all members, particularly those who paid but did not commence nor complete that course to date.
Whether or not e-Pro continues in the future in any form provided by any other company, it should be the option of NAR members at that time to then make the decision whether or not they wish to participate based on what the course is or is not at that future date; and, whether or not their faith and trust ... and that of the public who will be asked to recognize this certification ... is then valid.
Until such time as this proposed "new and improved" e-Pro is available for scrutiny by NAR members, it is unconscionable NOT to refund money paid by those members.
Whatever blame for or contribution to this unfortunate incident NAR may or may not have played, NAR members placed their trust in NAR, not WebSuite.
... or so I firmly believe.
