Alot of 'us' former employees are still in touch with each other on a regular basis...And NOT to do Homes.com bashing either. While not 'drinking buddies' we remain connected. There were some real good folks who had been brought together that had caught the 'passion' and what we thought was an opportunity to represent the 'best of the best' and in actuality it was a great product and hopefully for the sake of all those brokers and agents who signed on, can continue in some form to be so. Sales is sales..but it is a critteria for me to be able to leave the job at the end of the day and not look over my shoulder for Jeraldo Rivera or Marty Emerald. When I speak to an agent or broker, I am not some anon. voice (from my perspective anyway), I am Doug. and all the expertise and homework that went into 'Doug' being able to offer a solution THAT WORKS. I intend to stay in the Real Estate arena and as has been proved by two jobs so far..it is not a wide arena where you can burn clients. I have wound up talking to the same bunch of Brokers at both jobs due to a fluke in the lead base that put me in the same terratories...I'll be talking to them again I'm sure..not as an employee of a company but as Doug..the guy whose mirror I have to look into and one who has to 'fess up' to a client who calls me at home and wants to go 'fishin'. There are a bunch of us out here who are not caught up in the egocentric battles to succeed at any cost. Life is too short..there are too many good things to be done and solutions to be offered. I get my fun out of RIDING Roller Coasters not working for one. So to future & potential employers..save your pie in the sky multi level benefits pkg. and stock offers and 5 week vacations & bells ringing with cash incentives..just provide me with a place to work a great product (not an option) and a daily sense of accomplishment and turn me loose. Just let your Big Dogs Run so to speak. In your search for top quality employees, look for integrity, high spirits and low maintenance and cross your fingers...just like us employee types do. Thanks..Doug Higley
