Response To: Did Gomez.com Punish Homeseekers In Its Latest Survey? (Blanche Evans - 07/14/2000)

why whine?

As an active investor, I have been following the Gomez Brokerage ratings for a couple years. As a Realtor, I've been following the Home Buying ratings since they first published them. A few things I've noticed (maybe related to this article) are 1) Homeseekers sponsors many of the Realty Times newsletters I get; 2) The Gomez Real Estate report I picked up at the NAR convention in SF has the Inman logo on it (competitor of Realty Times); 3) Although E*Trade fell to number two in the most recent broker scorecard, I haven't seen them criticizing the ratings system. (Gomez is far more recognized in the brokerage space than in Real Estate, and it seems a company like E*Trade would have much more at stake than Homeseekers or Homestore).

While I'm not too impressed with this article, and question exactly why it was written, I still enjoy the service and news from Realty Times.
Regards,
TL
