My costs have skyrocketed with the advent of the internet and the associated programs, hardware and supplies. ALL the vendors, from the local MLS to REALTOR.COM have elected to take the route of "make the Realtor pay....over and over and over again." We do all the base work of getting the listings in the first place and servicing the buyers, and we are the beginning of the food chain for all myriads of companies -- I am beginning to see that NAR supports Vendors & Broker/Owners, not Realtors. SUPRA is just another case of rip-off. They "persuaded" the big companies to avoid risk by forcing agents to buy a more expensive "key", expensive boxes, monthly updates, and now the PALM, software, new boxes, new software. VERY FEW AGENTS I know had any vandalism prior to the "more secure" SUPRA box. I don't know the figure nationwide but I just bet its not high. Its another case of overkill. 2 cases, so make thousands & thousands of agents buy boxes, palms, etc. all in the name of homeowner security, not to mention profit for SUPRA and for the Associations. And the Agents pay. And Pay. And Pay. Every vendor is like this. When and how can we say "enough is enough!"
