I absolutely agree that we as Realtors should be able to share in the revenue. I have given many loans to loan originators I have met...What did I get out of it? Most of the time not even a thank you note, lunch.... Once they have used you, you are of no further use. You just handed them thousands of dollars, without any compensation whatsoever. That is not fair at all. Just recently, I had a client go behind my back and dump me (stupid me, no buyer-broker), however, they used the loan officer I sent them to. He did not even say thank you...nothing... I am very upset. I know he made well over $4,000. and I got burned. Can someone please tell me what the current venue is on these RESPA guidelines. Is E-mail loan originating and receiving compensation within the guidelines? There are some others popping up- giving up compensation for your lead. Please advise.
