Smart Money, a consume type magazine, has been running the "10 things your _____ won't tell you" for years. From stockbrokers to real estate people. I believe the one on real estate people was written a number of years ago. Largely before any agents were representing buyers in any meaningful way. If the Wells Fargo article was basically minicing this information it is way out of date. Now that doesn't mean Smart Money will pull any punches on what it sees as self-servicing by any industry. And some of this stuff is still true. Don't kill the messenger. The perception of the typical real estate person is still one step above used car salesman.
