Oklahoma Eliminates Agency From Brokerage Relationships
OK at it again

After the sound thrashing the OK Real Estate Commission took at the hands of their own court system, it would seems that they are asking to be beaten again.
What utter nonsense is their explaination of agency and being an agent. Almost all agents in every professional field fall into the catagory of "Special Agent". Including attorneys. Rarely has an attorney ever asked me if they could sign things for me. Instead, as special agents, they outline their recommendations and let me make the decision. Then I sign, period.
Afraid these guys along with the Okie Assocation of Realtors are getting all their information on how attorneys work from old episodes of "LA LAW".
All they are doing is giving a new name to agents. Might want to check the recent Buyer Agent decision to get the courts discussion of what real estate people do.
And frankly, I would want to see the exact statute wording where it eliminates the word "agent". So far I think they have merely instituted a disclosure that doesn't have the word.
