Keeping It In Perspective

As a real estate professional who strives to provide the best possible service to buyer clients, I am dismayed when I hear of experiences like Terry's.
I wish to point out, however, that her agent was the rare exception and that the overwhelming majority of real estate agents and brokers take our work very seriously. As the old saw goes, however, there's a rotten apple in every basket.
I would also like to suggest that the best way to be represented as a buyer is by an exclusive buyer agent, preferably one who is a member of the National Association of Exclusive Buyer Agents (NAEBA) and who holds NAEBA's distinguished Certified Exclusive Buyer Agent (CEBA) certification. These professionals all have pledged not to represent sellers, but to providea full and comprehensive fudiciary responsibility to their buyer clients. I honestly do not believe a purer form of agency representation in real estate can be found.
