Circle of Homestore Sites Adds Value to Consumer and Agents, Says Realtor.com

Something is very seriously amiss here!

After reading the above story where HomeStore officials deny any Realtor.com leads from member's listings are being redirected you can imagine my surprise this morning when my phone rang and a nice young lady from the "FREE CITY REPORTS" link asked if I had received my free city report, if it was helpful and could she find me a "qualified real estate professional" to help me sell my present home and buy in my destination city.
I'm not moving but I filled out the form two clicks away from everyone's listings just to see what would happen.
Not 30 minutes later I got another phone call from The School Reports in response to the "FREE SCHOOL REPORT" link and form I filled out there. No Realtors were present as sponsors in my city so I asked the very nice young lady if they could help me find a "qualified real estate professional" to help me get my home sold here. She said they had no Realtor sponsors in my city but if I would go to www.HomeFair.com and click on the "FREE CITY REPORTS" (alledgedly a differenct one from the one on Realtor.com) they would be delighted to help me find that "qualified real estate professional" mentioned.
Now since this happend today (11/29/99) and the story above is dated 11/26/99 it would seem to me that what the HomeStore folks say isn't happening is happening.
Apparently someone somewhere didn't get the word.
It's been my experience that it really doesn't matter if you get run over accidentally or on purpose, you're still run over.
I hope all my fellow Realtors that read this will join in and make some noise and let's get all the HomeStore folks on the same page we're on. Those are our listings on Realtor.com and they should not be used to generate leads for our competitors.
