Shooting the Internet Messenger
Posted By: aliceheld - 02/06/2001 04:52 PM
Good morning,
This is one remarkable story! After the wonderful reception we (Allen Hainge and his CyberStars) and the CRS panel (Walter Frey) had with full enthusiastic audiences, it is just illuminating to see that there are those out there still in the Dark Ages and content to be.
Perhaps it's the old "opt-in". Those that came to the NAR sessions wanted to learn. Those that were at the Plano meeting were skeptics w/closed minds.
They just didn't know they had the best at their service, and shot the messenger to validate why they didn't need to change. Unreal. Blanche, you do such a service for those of us that are "opt-ins", please don't ever let something like this do anymore than make you marvel at humankind. It is the familiarity of what they're doing and the effort it would take to change that will make them dinosaurs in their professions. Good, it will weed them out eventually.
I feel that I am a perennial student, constantly in a learning curve, but the excitement of what I'm learning, which is rewarded almost immediately, will propel me to continue ad infinitum.
Now, you have a great day! You are well-respected, admired, have a grateful audience of thousands, and we count on you for what you do.
