Response To: Why Aren't Listings Posted Instantly to the Internet? (Blanche Evans - 09/02/1999)

Realtor.com's Monopolistic attitude
Posted By: Evelyn Black - 09/06/1999 03:08 PM

My local MLS (Cincinnati) does a pretty good job of getting our new listings and any changes input right away. Pictures too,
However, I find it fascinating to see Realtor.com out in the lead for now, but not even aware, it seems, that they're doing themselves in by not being responsive to this very issue. I've got the enhanced Realtor.com- where I can post interior pictures & write my own copy (and it's not cheap) - and they don't seem to even care that they're getting left in the dust by their lack of customer service - meaning timely uploads.

Most of the other postings with HomeSeekers.com, etc. have you upload your pictures immediately - not email them as an attachment like Realtor.com does. Already, Realtor.com is behind the curve of technology!
