We have met the enemy...

and it's the Austin Board of Realtos!

The Austion Board of Realtors has already approved the Internet as an acceptable format
for the delivery of listings information - they
have proved that by allowing the listings to be posted by third parties - just not their own members.

The have already approved the concept that the MLS is a cooperative effort of among competing brokers and that those particapating brokers may market and sell every listing. Including showing
every home to any qualified buyer as long as those buyers are qualified, bonafide particpants in the process. But not by their members who have embraced the very technology that is re-building and redefining Austin.

They have already agreed that the MLS listings can be accessed via an electronic medium such as a computer. Just not by their members who might actually be capable of servicing the needs of the customer in a better manner.

Sounds like the Austin Board of Realtors is not willing to embrace technology, encourage technology and deliver technology to it's members or the buying and selling public...

Sounds like the only unfair business practices in Austin our being spawned by the dinosaur mentality of the Austin Board of Realtors.

Repeat after me " I will not hinder progress..."

Repeat as necessary.
