Lynn -- Thanks for your note. As you explain, there are successful discount brokers -- and that is not the point. The issue discussed here is different: The reality that if you look at realty fees in general they have not appreciably fallen as a result either of price competition or online development. The question then becomes: What is the key factor which motivates consumers? Is price an issue? Sure -- and the article plainly says it is. Is price the only issue? No. There are other motivations.
