Are Online Agents As Professional As Traditional Agents?

On Line Agents More Experienced, Yea Right

Those in the business know that 95% of the business is done by less than 5% of the agents population. These are the agents that we should look at when considering the level of service being provided to the consumer. The average age for these top producing agents is 12-13 years in the business. Almost twice what is being touted for on-line agents.

Most of these top level agents have teams which are able to provide a higher level of service that what other agents, including on-line agents could or do offer.

The statement that 70% of a traditional agents time is spent prospecting is false and misleading. If this agent really had an accurate picture of what a top agents does he or she would know that they spend most of their time providing services to their clients. This because they have systems in place and are focused on what is
important, services to their clients and customers.

Most on-line agents I have come in contact with do so because they would prefer to receive referrals from someone else rather than market themselves and grow their business.

For those agents that prefer this type of EMPLOYMENT that's OK. I would ask that they consider the fact they they are contributing to their own demise. If the looked to the future they would see how many dot.coms and other wall street backed corporations are trying to dip into the real estate well.

The agent has and always will be the center of a real estate transaction and the one to control the customer by providing exceptional service and after sale follow up.

It's true that most of the 95% of the agent population don't do this, but I can assure you that the 5% who control 95% of the transactions do. And will continue to do so, for it is their life blood.
