Response To: Should Buyers' Brokers Present Offers Directly to Sellers? (Cecil G. Daniels - 09/13/2000)

A double-edged sword
Posted By: cmcmanus - 09/24/2000 04:19 PM

The reality is that times have changed. In today?s fast pace technology crazed world, every one wants everything now. No one wants to wait for a scheduled appointment with all parities present to negotiate an offer.

I do agree that offers should not be faxed. Not only because of confidentiality but, mainly because of readability. Our contracts have very small print. I find that faxed offers are very hard to read.

It would be ideal for every one to be present during negotiations. However, we must admit that most of the time it is not ideal, convenient or even possible for all parties to be present for negotiations.

Having all parties present would leave less room for agents to translate what their client has requested into their own meanings.
