Dear Buyers,
Of course the sellers bring money to the table. It is called Equity. Years of appreciation on an investment plus month after month of house payments. I am happy to knock 3% off the top of every one of my listings so the buyer can feel they are getting a fair shake.
Your arguement is part of the fallacy that is allowing firms to grow that offer discounted services. I represent 100plus sellers per year. I know they are fed up with our fee structures and with the buyer broker co-op. It brings no value to them. Also if you put a true fee agreement in front of a buyer and asked the to pay you say $6000 to help you sell them a house as opposed to our current dialogue of "Don't woryy about the $6000, the seller will pay it", the buyers would not write a salesperson a seperate check for $6000. Most buyers do not even think about their agents compensation. They do not care. The buyer just wants a new house, period.
The chicken or the egg? Fry them, BBQ them, Poach them, Scramble them. Anyway you cook either of them they both get eaten!
