Hi --
You raise a good question.
I'm not especially convinced that we always know which marketing medium set in motion the sale of a home. .
The reason is this: Imagine that broker Smith lists a home. The home is marketed online, through the local MLS, in a newspaper ad, with an open house, with broker showings, via buyer brokers, etc.
The home sells. Did the buyer see the sign and then get more information online? Or, was the classified seen first? Was the property first viewed online and then later found with the help of the sign?
We may know the answer on an anecdotal basis, but I'm not sure we can draw a specific general success-percentage from what we know.
All the best.

It may be that a single home sale could result in arguable claims of success for several marketing vehicles.
