No Listings For Bank Of America, Says Realtor.com

I do not know how other Brokers feel about the NAR but I for one have about had it! This article is just one more example how we as a profession are constantly being exploited by our leadership. How does Homestore get our listings in the first place?...from REALTOR.com How does REALTOR.com get our listings?....from the Brokers who own them. How did REALTOR.com become the repository for the Brokers listings?.....the NAR squandered 10 + millions of the memberships money on a start-up called RIN. Does anyone else remember that debacle? I have a problem with having NAR making money (and where do the profits go?)by selling the memberships product to others who then charge the membership fees for "enhancements" to its own product!!! Why does the NAR exist?....to serve its membership. Funny kind of service don't you think?
I have sat on too many boards as a volunteer to see mine and others time and effort turn a profit for someone other than the ones doing the work. I think it is high time for the membership of the NAR to demand an accounting of ALL monies generated and how they were generated. This should also apply to local boards and the multiple listing services. To save money to provide this information it can be posted on the appropriate websites.
Does anyone else out there have these same feelings?
