Commission VS Fee-for-service

both can't save the same dollar

I doubt that savings can be achieved for the seller by merely taking money away from the buyer agents.

Perhaps it is time to recognize that both buyers and sellers are responsible for their share of the fees on the table and that at this time it is a component of the price. It is time for the industry to tell consumers what it knows privately, that there are two sides to the transaction. Let the buyer be responsible for his/hers and let them fund it through financing if they so choose. And finally put aside the nonsense that the seller pays all the fees. Let them pay their own side and negotiate whatever they can. And then the buyer can do the same.
