Response To: NAR's e-PRO To Re-Launch Against New Competition (Blanche Evans - 05/23/2001)

Wasn't the NAR Endorsement The Whole Point?
Posted By: ChrisNewell - 05/23/2001 06:37 AM

Maybe I did't get it the first time around, but I thought the selling point of e-PRO was, at least in part, that it was/is a NAR-recognized designation?
Will the 'Nexpert' have the same 'clout'?
Will there now be two classes of e-PRO designation - e-PRO 1 & e-PRO 2 ?

I'm no expert, but it seems to me that e-PRO would not have gathered the numbers it did were it not a NAR-offered program.

Havin been involved with other online real estate educational offerings, such as the Kaplan College series of courses, it seems that there is still a bumpy road ahead for providers of online real estate education. The Kaplan courses were full of good content, very reasonably priced, yet didn't gain critical levels of enrollment. I have my suspicions that it would have been the same for e-PRO were it not NAR-endorsed.

It will be interesting to watch and see where things go.
